Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy, we provide this
notice explaining our online information practices. We want
you to be aware of any user information we collect, how we use it, and under
what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. To that end, we collect and use
information throughout mspmag.com only as disclosed in this privacy policy. This
statement applies solely to information collected on this website, mspmag.com.
mspmag.com is created, edited, and maintained by MSP Communications, publisher of Mpls.St.Paul Magazine, 220 S. 6th St., Ste. 500, Minneapolis, MN 55402.
By visiting our site, you agree that your visit, and any dispute over
privacy, is governed by this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service statement, which can also be found on this site. These policies are governed by Minnesota
state law. Please read both statements carefully and make sure that you
understand and agree with these policies before using or registering with any of
our sites. If you do not agree with the terms of these policies, please do not
use or visit this site.
Information Collected
mspmag.com collects personal information about its visitors only in cases in
which we expressly ask for it and visitors supply it willingly. We will sell or
transfer the information we collect to a third party only when we expressly
state our intention to do so at the time and place at which we collect the
information.
The information we collect is used to improve the content of mspmag.com,
notify visitors about updates to our site, and is never shared with other
organizations for commercial purposes.
Information Shared
Information that is shared with corporate sponsors and partners of
mspmag.com—which is done so only after receiving the consent of the visitor—is
general information not of a personal nature and is only shared for demographic
purposes (for example, to inform partners of how many women registered with the
site, what geographical area yields the most visitors, etc.).

This site contains links to other sites. This site is not responsible for the
privacy practices or the content of such websites. (Please
refer to the Terms of Service notice for other information on links.)
Cookies
In order to serve you in the best capacity possible, we use "cookies" to
store and to, on occasion, track user information. A cookie is a small amount of
data that is sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your
computer's hard drive. Cookies contain distinct numbers that allow mspmag.com to
recognize your computer; this technology lets us keep a record of the
usernames and passwords of registered visitors. You are then
ensured that every time after the first time that you visit the site you won’t
have to re-enter your information, because it will be remembered. We also use
cookies to make sure you don't see the same ads repeatedly when you visit our
site.
The help function on most browsers contains information on how to set your
browser to notify you before accepting cookies or to disable cookies entirely.
However, if you don't accept cookies, you won't be able to fully take advantage
of various features available on mspmag.com.
Our advertising and marketing partners may also use their own cookies; we are
not responsible for their activities and policies on the issue.
Magazine Subscription Order Form
mspmag.com contains an order form for subscriptions to Mpls.St.Paul
Magazine; we require information from you if you are using the order form to
subscribe to the magazine. Information asked of you will include contact
information (such as name, e-mail, and shipping address) and possibly financial
information (such as credit card number and expiration date). If we have trouble
processing an order, we use the information to contact you. This information is
used for shipping and billing purposes and to fill your orders.
When we transfer and receive certain types of sensitive information such as
financial information, we redirect visitors to a secure server.
Registration
In order to use this site, visitors are not required to complete our
registration form.
If a visitor chooses to register, however, certain contact information must
be provided; we never sell this information, and we only provide it to our
partners when we expressly state our intention to do so at the time and place at
which we collect the information. It is gathered for the purposes of contacting
you about services on mspmag.com for which you have expressed interest, and as
mentioned previously, to make your experience on the site more efficient and
catered to your needs. It is optional for the user to provide personal
information (income level, gender, etc.), and unique identifiers (username,
password, etc.). Giving additional information enhances service and provides you
with a more individualized experience on our site, but is not necessary for
efficient usage of mspmag.com.

mspmag.com is not intended for use by minors, especially children under the
age of thirteen. In order to protect them, children are not permitted to register for
the site; provide any personal information; purchase subscriptions; or use our
public discussion areas, forums, and chats without the permission of their
parents or legal guardians.
You should encourage your children not to use our site, because if they
disclose information about themselves in our public discussion areas or on our
blogs, they may get unsolicited messages from other parties. If you're worried
about your children's activities on our site, we encourage you to e-mail our
