The Twin Cities' 2008 best restaurants reviewed by
Mpls.St. Paul Magazine’s dining team: Bizarre Foods host Andrew Zimmern, Peter
Lilienthal, Stephanie March, Adam Platt and Beth Dooley. Find out which
restaurants were voted readers’ favorites in our annual readers’ poll.
March 2008
What’s the difference between the Twin Cities fifty best
restaurants and the fifty our critics would eat at day in and day out? The
question seemed intriguing, so we designed this year’s Best Restaurants feature
with a twist—we asked our critics and columnists to tell us about their favorite
restaurants, the places they eat at when they just want a great evening out. We
wanted a peek inside their dining lives, quirks and all. The results are surely
inclusive of the Cities’ best restaurants, but they include some offbeat
surprises—restaurants built not to satisfy critics, but regular people with good
taste. Perhaps critics are people too. —Adam Platt, Dining Editor
