Cool Bathrooms

January 2007

AZIA
Here, the bathrooms are just as sleek and sexy as the rest of the place. But they’re also tiny, so you may end up sharing a sink with a beautiful stranger. 2550 Nicollet Ave., Mpls., 612-813-1200

BELLANOTTE
Only the best for this crowd. Luxury loos come complete with shoeshines in the men’s room and beauty products galore for women. Block E, 600 Hennepin Ave., Mpls., 612-339-7200

BAR LURÇAT
The two little rooms and one vanity, tucked discreetly in an alcove next to the bar, seem designed to let boys and girls mingle in line. 1624 Harmon Place, Mpls., 612-486-5500

CHINO LATINO
Just getting there turns into a runway event down the long staircase. It may take a second to figure out how the open-space unisex room is set up, but it’s all in keeping with the see-and-be-seen ethos. 2916 Hennepin Ave., Mpls., 612-824-7878

IKE’S
You never have to miss the last putt, since the  flat screen TVs in the men’s room play the Golf Channel. Plush towels are another nice touch. 50 S. 6th St., Mpls., 612-746-4537

LORING PASTA BAR
Quite possibly the coolest place in the restaurant. Branches and brick overshadow the fixtures, creating a mystical forest atmosphere. 327 14th Ave. SE, Mpls., 612-378-4849

NYE’S POLONAISE ROOM
You’d think the best bar in the world would have a decent bathroom. This one is pretty ordinary, but to get there you’ve got to pass a boisterous polka band, and that is definitely something special. 112 Hennepin Ave. E., Mpls., 612-379-2021
