Bittersweet Bakery
2105 Cliff Rd., Eagan, 651-686-0112
Bittersweet’s peanut butter cookies and pumpkin-raisin bread are among the best gluten-free goodies in town. Hours are limited, but look for Bittersweet’s label at local natural foods co-ops.

Cooqi
2186 Marshall Ave., St. Paul, 651-645-4433
Delicious brownies, cupcakes, cookies, and muffins—all made with organic, whole-grain, unprocessed, gluten-free ingredients, all 100 percent natural, 100 percent delicious.

Madwoman Bakeshop & Bakery
4747 Nicollet Ave., Mpls., 612-825-6680
Madwoman’s specialty goodies, sold frozen at area co-ops and health food stores, are now available from the source, a small gluten-free bakery in south Minneapolis. Pizzas, flatbreads, teacakes, and bundt-style tea breads (banana-cinnamon, cherry-chocolate, lemon–poppy seed) are crafted from surprising and healthful ingredients, and are surprisingly good.
