Mix New American Diner

If you’ve ever been to downtown Chaska, you know it’s an All-American small town with its quiet streets and a leafy square. Mix New American Diner fits right into the landscape. Operated by the husband and wife team of Joan and John Pullis, Mix is trying to bring new life to Main Street. The space is electric green with splashes of neon blue thrown about, but manages to retain its diner feel. Counter seating stretches from the full-service bar all the way down the room with open views to the kitchen action. The menu is stacked with classic diner fare that’s been given a modern edge, such as a kobe pastrami sandwich, meatloaf with tomato chutney, and chicken with black currant sauce. Everything is priced with the exurban diner in mind, which should give you the go-ahead for a giant slab of banana crème pie.

222 N. Chestnut St., Chaska, 952-479-7448
