The Blue Door Pub

Wow, is it hard to get into this place. St. Paulites have a reputation for being tight with a buck, but I’ve never seen so many people nurse $2 happy hour beers ($8 pitchers, say what?) for so long while sharing a basket of cheese curds among nine people. The new frugality, indeed. The Blue Door is teeny and woody, about a dozen tables and a small bar, but it packs a wallop—serious craft brews on tap, a nice selection of cheap wines, killer bar fare and sandwiches, and some Juicy Lucy's that rival The Nook for best in show. There are the requisite flat-screens, some video games in back for while you wait, and prices that may just leave Minneapolitans on the outside looking in.  —Adam Platt

I recommend this place if you are looking for a good burger at a cheap price. Only downfall is you may have to wait a little bit, as its not very big, so expect a wait when you get there. Not a lot of place to wait either, but its worth it. A lot of new burger places have been popping up lately, and this one is by far the best.
