Lola's Lakehouse

$$ | Seafood/American

The rebirth of Nancy's Landing, Lola's Lakehouse is an ambitious effort to bring a chic waterside supper club to Waconia. The considerable menu is full of classic burgers and steaks as well as a larger variety of seafood, including a cast-iron seafood stew pot. It may also have one of the only raw bars outside the metro.

Oh, that deck: wide as a road, right on the water, overlooking the prettiest, greenest island. Set your pinkie toes on that deck and you're suddenly luxuriating in a full-blown vacation.

But Lola's seems to cast a wider, more crowd-pleasing net that's focused on drawing neighbors instead of destination diners. That means some items are optimized more for price and portion than refined presentation and flavors.
