Bad Waitress Diner and Coffee Shop

$ | Breakfast/American

This Eat Street diner gives everyone a break, even bad waitresses. Step up to the counter and order, there are no servers here. Then nab a retro table under the kitschy décor, maybe next to the jukebox, and enjoy some of the largest and best pancakes in the city.

Highlights include the thin, almost crepe-style pancakes (especially the pumpkin), the French toast and the good mix of veggie options. Otherwise, the hashbrowns are average, American fries are plain, and the eggs - whether in scrambles or omelets tend to be overcooked.

For your money, the most reliably tasty pancakes are found at the hipster diner the Bad Waitress. One can certainly find fancier pancakes around town-more creative, more organic, more traditional-but none are more consistent and substantial than those at the Bad.
