FireLake Grillhouse & Cocktail Bar

$$$ | Regional American

Chef Paul Lynch goes out of his way to use sustainable local ingredients. Cooking with a wood-fired rotisserie and hardwood grill, he turns out tasty and accessible American fare for all three meal periods. The grilled North Shore whitefish and corn-crusted walleye are great.

FireLake Grill House & Cocktail Bar is a Minnesota restaurant. Chef Paul Lynch is known for his innovative creations using fresh, local, regional and organically produced ingredients in his Midwestern meets Mediterranean fare. Menu items reflect a range of regional ingredients from the lakes to the prairies and boundless farms to small artisan producers of cheeses, produce and organic products. The exhibition kitchen allows guests to watch as the kitchen team orchestrates a constant dance of live fire from the mesquite grill to the hickory rotisserie. Steaks, wild game, fresh water seafood, breads and vegetables will all be kissed by the flame.

The usual Minnesota suspects such as walleye, wild rice, pork, steaks, and whole grains are highlighted with a creative culinary twist. Breakfast features Walleye Hash & Poached Eggs with scallions, peppers, asparagus and hollandaise, a Warm Brick-Oven Apple Pannekoeken with Minnesota maple syrup, and a Red Eye Benedict made with house cured and smoked back bacon that takes three days to prepare. Lunch and Dinner items are again treated with as much time and love for ingredients. Our Black and Blu salad offers a steak dinner on a plate, featuring spice charred steak, Ama blu cheese, baby boy tomatoes, asparagus, fingerlings, peppery greens and red wine-herb vinaigrette. FireLake’s Prime Rib slowly turns over the hickory rotisserie to offer flavors to Prime Rib that cannot be re-produced in an oven. Our Garlic and Rosemary Lamb Tenderloin grilled over mesquite wood is served with braised fennel and crimini whole grain “risotto”, a twist to the traditional pasta. Other items include Buffalo Pot Roast, Venison Osso Buco, and Heirloom Corn Crusted Walleye.

FireLake represents the classic watering hole for power brokers and young professionals in its Downtown Minneapolis urban setting. The comfortable bar and lounge features Chef driven Signature cocktails, premium vodkas, single-malt scotches, and an expansive wine list. Happy Hour features appetizer specials Monday-Friday from 4pm-630. The communal table is great to snag for an after work get-together.

FireLake’s warm, timeless decor compliments the menu’s rich flavors of the American heartland and makes this restaurant the perfect spot for business or pleasure. FireLake boasts two private dining rooms with seating up to 42 guests. Power business meetings are a regular occurrence in FireLake. Open all holidays, it is the perfect place to celebrate with friends and family. Open daily for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner.
