Strip mall dining can be a dicey affair, the real trick is finding the worthy among the purely average. Truth be told, this Wayzata spot has become a little worn over the years (dated furnishings, spotty paper menus) but they remain true to their commitment to flavor. Kebabs are flavorful and perfectly cooked, while the lamb claypot stew is a tender and earthy winner. Service is warm and friendly and does much to warm up the bland surroundings. Fine dining it isn't, but the soul of Istanbul makes it a worthy find.
