Otho Restaurant and Street Lounge, the first Pan-Asian concept restaurant in the Elliot Park Neighborhood, is an upscale but relaxed and accessible restaurant focusing on combining European and Asian ingredients for a delicious fusion. Otho Restaurant and Street Lounge offers wine, beer, and cocktails in the lounge area. The lounge area offers a relaxed atmosphere with comfortable seating, soft music with ambient lighting, and excellent and well-trained staff with great food.
Otho Restaurant and Street Lounge, located on the corner of 10th St. and Portland Avenue south on the ground level of the Skyscape Luxury Condominiums, seats 112 people total. It also features an outdoor café during the warm months.

The three owners are two local chefs with a total of 17 years in the industry, plus a Minneapolis based businessman.
Kristina Schubert, 41, is the Executive Pastry Chef and General Manager. Mrs. Schubert holds a BS in Applied Design from the University of Minnesota and an Associates of Applied Sciences in Culinary Arts from Minneapolis Community College formerly Minneapolis Technical College. She was the Pastry Chef at Zander Café. She was an Assistant Pastry Chef at The Local and also an Assistant Pastry Chef at Goodfellow's. Kristina Schubert has 13 years experience in the industry.
Otho Phanthavong, 28, is the Executive Chef. Mr. Phanthavong holds an Associates of Applied Sciences in Culinary Arts from Le Cordon Bleu at Brown College. He trained at Zander Café as an intern and continued employment afterwards. Mr. Phanthavong became Executive Chef at Zander Café from 2005 to 2006. He left Zander Café in 2006 to work at Duplex. Mr. Phanthavong has 6 years experience in the industry.
Kap Phanthavong, 31, is a manager and partner in the project. |
