The Academy of Holy Angels (AHA) is a Catholic, college preparatory high school in Richfield, Minnesota, educating 750 students in grades nine through twelve to become adults who are:

Confident, prepared, and connected in faith.

Academy of Holy Angels was founded in 1877.  Since then, AHA has been committed to excellence in education, strength of community, dedication to service, and faith formation for every student.

AHA students enjoy:

  • A strong and welcoming community—AHA is a place where teachers and staff, administrators, parents, and alumni are dedicated to student achievement and growth.
  • Small classes—the average class size is 22.5, so each student feels important and is motivated and challenged by each teacher, each day.
  • A full and rigorous curriculum—AHA offers academic rigor and challenge for learners of all abilities, including 14 Advanced Placement courses.
  • A rich co-curricular activities program—AHA offers 60 activities including sports, clubs, fine arts, student government, and intramurals.  More than 92 percent of AHA students participate in at least one co-curricular activity, and most are active in several.
  • Opportunities to grow in faith and service—AHA welcomes students from all religious backgrounds!   At AHA students take a theology course each day.  AHA’s Faith in Action program gives students an opportunity to pray and be active in service as they participate in AHA co-curricular.  The school challenges students to be active in service throughout the year.
  • Achievement in high school and beyond—AHA’s average 2009 ACT score is 25.5!  In addition, 99 percent of the graduating classes of 2008 and 2009 enrolled in college. To date, these students have accepted nearly $10 million in college scholarships.

AHA is committed to educational access to students from all walks of life. To learn more about our school and our financial aid program, contact Jesse Foley at 612-798-2621 or jfoley@academyofholyangels.org.
