Lake of the Woods Cabin
Log cabin in the village of Angle Inlet, Lake of the Woods
County. The area known as the Northwest Angle is the only part of the United
States, outside of Alaska, that is north of the 49th parallel.

Cass County Cottage
The
“Garden Cottage” at the Gardner’s Greenhouse (circa 1900), Leech Lake Township,
Cass County. The cabin was once part of a local resort, the Bay View Resort, but
has since been moved. Today the current owners use the cottage in their
greenhouse and nursery business.

in 1916, “Doc & Gram’s” cabin is located on Spider Island, Mille Lacs, Mille
Lacs County.

Rainy Lake Cabin
“Studio”
cabin on Rainy Lake (1916), Koochiching County. This island “Atsokan” (Ojibwe
for “storyteller”) was first purchased for $500 from the Ojibwe by Ernest
Oberholtzer and later sold to a man by the name of Major Roberts. Major Roberts
built the cabin as an art studio for his daughter, who was an oil painter.

classic log cabin on Spectacle Lake, in Wyanett Township, Isanti County.

Bay Lake Cabin
Located on Bay Lake, in Crow Wing County, this cabin was
built in 1933 using logs from Oregon. The cabin sits on an acre of land, is
virtually surrounded by water, and is accessed by way of a 300-foot, single-lane
driveway.
