No matter how many cheap beers you've had, one look at the sweet face and permanently stocking-capped skull of Dave, the Clown Lounge bartender, and you know you're going to make it up those stairs, out of this place, alive. And maybe even remember the fun you had playing the old-fashioned jukebox, hanging with the surly St. Paul rockers (folks that started coming here as coeds twenty years ago and never stopped). Local bands of country, rock, and hip-hop grace the stage when national acts have a night off. Bands take the stage Wednesday through Saturday, with live jazz on Mondays.
