Even smarter?
Just three? Andrew Blauvelt, design director of the Walker Art Center; Tom Fisher, dean of the University of Minnesota College of Design; Steve Mahle, Medtronic, a former client. And many, many more.

Genius?

Albert Einstein might have been the first public “genius.” Today there are fewer public figures who might be.

Best advice?

Don’t take yourself too seriously.

Mentor?

Many.

Obama or McCain?

Easily, Obama. He conveys a sense that he is not only intelligent, but driven by a desire to make the USA a better country.

Biggest mistake?

Taking people at face value. Perhaps this is my the biggest mistake because it happens so frequently.

Free time?

I teach and run a practice, so I don’t have free time. We have a house on Lake Superior that we use to relax, read, drink wine, and wander about.

IQ pill?

Why not?

Which kind of smart?

People smart.

Musician?

This sounds a bit dull, but I would say Philip Glass.

Greatest impact?

How we meet the global climate crisis.

Wisdom with age?

Not yet.

Special responsibilities?

Presumably.
