2009 Top Dentists

Nothing is more engaging than a smile. And whom you trust with that smile is a big deal. That is why we take pride in our Top Dentists list. These dentists come recommended from those who know best—fellow dentists. In this, our fifth annual survey, you'll find a list of more than 300 dentists in Minneapolis and St. Paul you can trust. Our survey is conducted by us, through months of careful research, and is not influenced by advertisers or outside sources. Please use our list as a starting point to your search. How we get this list
We surveyed all 2,000-plus licensed, practicing dentists in the 10-county metro area and 1,000 randomly selected hygienists. Names are obtained from the State of Minnesota's Minnesota Bookstore Mailing list. We asked these dentists and hygienists where they would go for their own dental care, and a record one in five responded. The most frequently recommended dentists become our Top Dentists.

Why Isn't My Dentist on this List?
While we'd like to think that every dentist on this list is good, not every single good dentist makes the list. Use this list as a starting point.
--It can be hard for dentists with independent practices to make this list.
--Sometimes a dentist is too new to have established a referral network.
--Many dentists do not refer patients, so their work may not be well known.
--Not all dentists respond to this survey and some choose to be left out.
