Denny Kemp cannot throw anything out. The vintage clown lamps are marked with the artist’s name and date—the same year as Kemp’s birth.  When Kemp and Doug Melroe bought the green sofa, Kemp finally could pull the lamps out of storage and use them.

Black paint (Benjamin Moore) was chosen for the bedroom. The deep and mesmerizing tone is set off by more classic moldings and plantation shutters.
