Q: Are there any local stylists who include lower-end fashion and will do the shopping for me? I used to use Dayton’s personal shoppers but want someone who will also shop at Target and J. Crew for my stuff. This may be beyond my means. Any suggestions for somebody willing to help pull together my style? What are their rates?

A: While there is not one really great, go-to personal shopping or stylist service that will do all of these things, there are a few local options to help you pull together your style. Boun Borth, who has appeared on KARE 11’s Today Show, owns a fashion consulting/personal shopping business called BBInStyle (651-714-8789 ), based in Woodbury. Whether you need a new look for a special event or a full wardrobe makeover, Boun and her team are ready to help. Services include: Wardrobe & Closet Analysis ($85/hr), Wardrobe Cataloging ($95/hr), and Personal Shopping & Styling ($85/hr). BBInStyle also offers full and half-day packages. For more general personal shopping, including grocery trips and  errands, Nook & Cranny (612-823-2018) is a well-reviewed concierge business in the Twin Cities. They also help with event planning, housework, yard maintenance, pet care, and bridal and wedding assistance. Rates are unique to a client’s need and circumstance. Alexis McKinnis, owner of Personal Touch Errands & Assistance (651-307-4120), offers a variety of services, ranging from gift shopping to image consultation. Rates for most personal errands run around $30/hour. If these options don’t work, there are in-store personal shoppers and image consultants at most major department stores, including Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s .
