This palette has a ton of possibilities. The light green, taupe,
rose, and lime green shades can be dramatic or muted and can be mixed in
multiple, surprising ways. Dior’s pigments are true to the palette color and
have excellent lasting power. $49.50. Available at Sephora, Ridgedale, 12669

MAC Pigment in Golden
I can’t
believe I didn’t have this in my repertoire. It’s incredibly versatile—intense
or pale, a sweep of single color or as a base with another shadow blended in, or
in the inside corner of the eyes for the angelic look. Striking, glam, natural.

Nars The Multiple in South Beach
For eyes, cheeks,
and lips, this is a one-stop shop for beach chic. Lots of shimmer, sun-kissed
color, very low maintenance. One caveat: It tends to slide off, so use a good
primer first. $36.50. Available at Sephora

Nars Single Eyeshadow in Nymphea
A
pink that doesn’t make me look tired! Great coverage with fantastic, but not
teenybopper, glitter. Paired with navy blue liner it evokes Brigitte Bardot.
