Soccer moms never had it so good. Neither did yogis, golfers, runners, dancers, and swimmers. Anyone active—or whoever just wants to look the part—will find sanctuary in this stylish new athletic specialty store. Paiva, which also is Scandinavian for “of the light,” offers a bright atmosphere aiming to fill shoppers with energy and ideas. Entire ensembles are set out to help people find head-to-toe fashions for their sport of choice so there’s no longer a need to bounce from department stores to boutiques in search of the essential gym garb, sneakers, and loungewear. Premium brands include adidas by Stella McCartney, Puma, Nuala, Prana, Three Dots, OMgirl, and Marika. Upscale pieces run from soft, breathable, corsets for cardio funk class to dresses, jackets, and bags for cocktails at the club. Tons of mix-and-match items make it easy to tone down looks or make a statement. The Twin Cities is the third location of the Indianapolis-based retailer and will get more cold-weather basics and brands such as North Face than other stores. Mall of America, 952-854-9204

What’s To Love:

Top-shelf workout clothes that actually inspire us to workout!

*  Luxury items such as a $625 tennis-ball–print silk dress that’s much more suited for a cruise than the court.

*  So many shoes—Diesel, adidas, Vivienne Lee, Asics, Havaiana flip-flops.

*  Finding Nike, Gucci, and Prada in one place.

*  Paiva’s private label of tanks, jackets, and “can’t live without” signature black pants.

*  Clean, cool design, bamboo floors, oversized fitting rooms big enough for strollers.
