Who: Alexis Walsko (far left), owner of Lola Red, a public relations firm that works with fashion, beauty, and lifestyle clients and was named one of the top forty-eight “It Firms” by Women’s Wear Daily in April.

The Story: After working with several national beauty clients that love to tout their celebrity clientele, Walsko starting advising her clients that they’d really earn a following if they began treating their customers like celebrities. She created Glamour Gal Nights designed to unleash a girl’s inner diva. More than 300 GGs now come together for shopping, beauty and fashion advice, education, and camaraderie. Walsko varies her client partners so that no two events are the same—recently at Bellanotte, cocktail sales benefited a local charity.

Inspiration: In a way, she’s her own inspiration. Call her the brains and the beauty. “I’m a glamour girl at heart,” she says. “I come from a long line of fashionistas, and I gravitate to those products and businesses that make me feel like a celebrity every day. I love it when I’m taken care of, but I also love to take care of people and to make them feel like a million dollars.”

Her Motto: “I truly believe that when you give back, that’s when you get back.”

Next Up: The next event will be held at Intelligent Nutrients’ IN, where Walsko plans to once again wow her GGs. “When it comes to girly things and women, I get it,” she says.
