A guide to the best of Minnesota’s greatest assets: our lakes. Get a year's worth of lake and shore vacation ideas, from the delights of Duluth, to the best lodging on the North Shore. Plus, a Lake Superior superguide.
April 2010
Lakes just say “Minnesota.” We’ve got ’em in our cities. There are quite a few Up North. And if you haven’t heard, we have the Heidi Klum of lakes—Superior—with its pure statuesque beauty.
We’re sure you have a favorite. It may be for boating, or fishing, or skipping rocks. Or because its shores are ringed with your go-to running path. Maybe you grew up going to the cabin at the lake with the funny name. For this, our annual travel issue, we decided to dive deep into the best of our state’s greatest assets: its lakes.
