You asked: We are trying to decide if we should have wedding favors at our wedding. Is this a must do or just a kind gesture?

Heidi says: Party favors are definitely not a must. I didn't have favors at my wedding. #1) I wanted to spend the money elsewhere and #2) I've been to so many weddings where the party favors are cute but probably bound for guests' junk drawers. That said, party favors can be great if they help enhance your table settings (through color, shape, or just to have something pretty on the plate) or if they reflect your interests as a couple. If you're not finding a party favor idea that accomplishes one of these two goals, my recommendation is to forego favors.
