Just Us Girls![]() Pampering and beautification are as much a part of the pre-wedding ritual as the requisite bachelorette party—so why not combine the two? Whether you hit the spa as an appetizer to an evening out or treat your visit as the main course, these Twin Cities spas are bound to give your maids, mom, and best pals a pre-wedding pampering session they won’t forget. For an Hour—If it’s just a quick primp you crave, try coming in as a group and picking just one or two beauty treatments from the menu. “[Parties] really like to be together for these events, so they’ll probably do pedicures,” says Diane Cook, owner of The Day Spa in Edina. “We have six pedicure chairs, so six women can get pedicures at the same time.” If the spa is where you choose to kick off an evening of fun, says Solimar Wellness Spa’s Lisa Delton, “come in to have a service together [like a makeup application] and then continue the evening or the afternoon.” For a Day—If pampering is the party, “I’d do a little bit of everything,” says Delton. “We can customize it to what the group is looking for.” Solimar, located in Eagan, assigns a group manager to bridal parties and offers a wide range of massages, facials, and beauty treatments, a private room for gift openings, and will cater lunch or dinner to suit your preference. If you just can’t choose, the Day Spa’s The Metamorphosis Day is a five-hour luxury package that includes a full-body massage or herbal wrap, a facial, paraffin manicure, lunch, and a makeup application, which includes a $25 gift towards any makeup purchase that day. For a Weekend—What better way to kick off your wedding than a weekend with the girls? Just for Me, “The Spa” in Stillwater has a retreat home that sleeps up to eight people. “It’s intimate, it’s personal, and it’s also pampering,” says Kelly Franz, concierge at Just for Me. “You feel fresh, renewed, relaxed, and you’ve enjoyed each other’s company in a setting that is peaceful and relaxing; it builds on the intimacy, friendship, and the relationship before a big day.” Remember, spa appointments, especially for large groups, fill up fast—book in advance.
