“Something old, something new” has become
the modern-day mantra when it comes to registering. With today’s couples
marrying at different stages, many have already made major investments for the
home. When two people bring their prized possessions to the table—and the rest
of the house—registering becomes an opportunity to accent those favorites with
new collections, statement pieces, and little luxuries. In keeping with the
trend of tasteful, eclectic home décor, registering is less about matching and
more about mixing great design and function that’s not too feminine or too
masculine. You needn’t register for twelve wine goblets in the same pattern and
size. Mix it up. A pair here, a single there. Lots
of local retailers, including some of the smaller boutiques, have registry
services, so
pluck a few favorites from various lines and come up with your own signature
look. We’ve created a wish list of ideas—including a little something
blue. Check out our registry services catalogue.

blue.
