Speed Design—Fast Impressions. Multiple Solutions.
Date: Saturday, May 3, 1–2 p.m.
You’ve heard of speed-dating. Say hello to speed-design. Take an hour of your valuable time to learn more about your home from our experts. Meet three of our design professionals in consecutive consultations and get their opinions on improving your living space. You will have three 20-minute sessions in which you can present your room dimensions, colors and concerns and then explore possible solutions for your room space. Each time the bell rings, move on to your next consultation. If possible, bring room dimensions and photographs. Very Limited Seating. Reservations required.

Trends For The Home—Spring 2008

Fresh from the High Point Market, Gabberts Senior Designer Karen Hodgdon, Allied Member ASID, will share the best looks and latest news in interior design. Gabberts is proud to share showroom photographs that will take you on a virtual tour of the largest home furnishings trade show in the world.

The High Point Market brings more than 85,000 people to High Point, North Carolina, every six months. Serious design studios and fine furnishings businesses can be found in High Point twice a year because if you can't find it in High Point, it probably doesn't exist.

Karen Soojian, ASID, Sarah Goodrich, ASID and Connie Wersal-LaVelle, Allied Member ASID, have maximized the space and created an inviting place to relax, converse and dine. Learn how these concepts can be applied to your home.

Gabberts Furniture and Design Studio will host its popular two-week, 10-hour Design Series Workshop. This workshop is a fantastic opportunity for those planning an upcoming design project and will reveal to you a host of design essentials and proven techniques that can be easily put into practice in your own home. The workshop will cover:

  • Identifying personal design styles
  • Principles of good design
  • Elements of design
  • Floor plans and measurement
  • Psychology of color

Classes meet four times over a two week time frame and each class is two and a half hours long. Registering for the first class covers all four sessions.

Fee: $95 for 10 hours of instruction, updated workbook, improved set of magnetic design templates and a free, one-hour, one-on-one design consultation with the instructor. Reservations are required. Space is limited.
